The fishing village of Koroni gained fame in earlier times through its harbor, from where the world was supplied with olive oil and raisins from the region. Today, at the edge of the town in the former fisherman's quarter directly on the beach, there are some holiday homes. The town has a pretty promenade with numerous taverns, cafés, and small shops. The narrow streets of Koroni, winding up the hill, resemble a small island and give the town its charming character. Above the town towers the imposing Venetian castle – the Kastro with the nunnery. Behind the castle dome of Koroni stretches the fine, beautiful Saga and Memi sandy beaches.
At the edge of Koroni – within walking distance of the center – above the Zaga Beach lies the holiday apartment Maria-Sofia.
Just outside the charming town center of Koroni and above the fine Saga Beach stand the holiday homes Takis Bizos, Rigotis, Jorgos 1+2, Anastassia, and Bizos, all with views of the Messenian Gulf extending to Mani.
West of the town center of Koroni, with a wide view of the Messenian Bay and the sea, lies the small district of Assini. In an idyllic, green setting, with beautiful sea views to the opposite Mani peninsula, are the tasteful holiday apartments Assini View and Assini Spitaki.
About 6 km south of Koroni, in the Lakoules district, in an elevated position above the sea with a unique view of Zaga and Memi Beach, are the Villa Türkis with pool and the holiday apartment Margarita.
South of Koroni, slightly inland, is the typical Greek village Vassilitsi with its Platia, taverns, kafeneions, and shopping options. A few kilometers towards the coast lies the picturesque district of Faneromeni above the beautiful bays of Ammoudi. The Villa Katerina with private pool is located in Ammoudi Bay. Villa Ammoudi is located directly above the bay.
